Privacy notice

This notice explains how BTC Horizon handles personal data. The controller is Marcos Mendes, an individual based in Portugal, reachable at [email protected].

01

Data collected

If you register interest, BTC Horizon stores your email address, selected feature interest, consent time, confirmation and unsubscribe state, notice version, signup time, and available signup attribution such as campaign labels, landing path, or referring page. Server and security logs may contain an IP address, request path, timestamp, browser information, and security events. Correspondence is retained when you contact the project. There are currently no public accounts, payments, advertising profiles, or third-party analytics.

02

Purposes and legal bases

Interest-list data is processed with your consent to assess demand and contact you about BTC Horizon. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Essential server and security logs are processed for the legitimate interests of operating, protecting, debugging, and preventing abuse of the service.

03

Cookies and local storage

BTC Horizon does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. An essential session cookie may preserve first-party campaign attribution until an interest form is submitted, and essential cookies may also be used for security, form protection, and private staging access. If optional analytics or marketing technology is added, this notice and the consent controls will be updated first.

04

Recipients and transfers

Infrastructure providers may process limited data to host, route, protect, monitor, back up, or deliver email for the service. Current providers can include Akamai Linode, Cloudflare, Better Stack, GitHub, and Amazon Web Services. Some processing may occur outside the European Economic Area under the providers’ applicable transfer safeguards. Personal data is not sold.

05

Retention

Interest registrations are kept for no longer than 24 months unless you withdraw sooner or an ongoing relationship justifies an updated notice. Contact correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months. Web access logs are normally rotated after 14 days and application logs after 30 days, unless a security incident or legal obligation requires longer retention.

06

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent. Send requests to [email protected]. Identity may need to be verified. You may also lodge a complaint with Portugal’s data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

07

Automated decisions

BTC Horizon generates market forecasts, but it does not make automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
